Pro Series Golf help

I think this is a great game for online 2 player, though it has its flaws, and it would be a shame if people would turn down this game just cos it's hard for first timers of virtual golf.
Now, lets practice that swing of yours...

TUTORIAL

BASICS:
A/Center key: Action
B: Cancel - Recommend to change this into Change Shot Type!
1: Cahnge Shot type - Recommend to change to B if in landscape!
Up/Down: Change Clubs
Left/Right: Aim swings and putts.

SWINGS:
POWER
Pro Series Golf
Look familiar? You might think its an ordinary "power bar" very similar to Creatures and Midnight Pool, but its not. I call this the "Swing Gauge" myself. Obviously it determines the strenght of your swing. The more it is in the up right the more power you get.
You might have noticed the RED LINE in the top part. This is the Max Power Line. By hitting that spot you get the most power for full accuracy. You might notice theres room after it. That is the Over Power Zone. You can get even more power with this, but it cost's you some accuracy, which can be critical. But it has its uses, especially in longer holes.

ACCURACY
Pro Series Golf
See that Green Line in the low part of the gauge? The part where the Red starts going down? That is the Accuracy Line. By hitting it perfectly you can make a 100% accurate swing, save Over Power and Wind.
Before the Swing Gauge reaches the line, it's Green. This doesn't mean it's good despite the cheerful color. If you see a spec of Green in the gauge, the shot will be inaccurate and go Left.
When the Swing Gauge goes over the Accuracy Line, it becomes Red. This isn't as bad as the alarming color makes it seem. The shot is as inaccurate as when its Green, but goes to the Right.
Now practice that swing a little so you get the hang of it.

CHIPS, PITCHES AND PUNCHES.
Pro Series Golf
Mastering the Chip, Pitch and Punch are necessary if you want to make shots in different distances. You can change the shot type by pressing 1 or B, if you reassigned it. (See? It's easier with B in landscape!)
Note the above picture. Thats not the putting range. The pale green area is the Green from where you putt. In the above screen Chipping is the best option.
Chips, Pitches and Punches are used like swings, except instead of hitting high, you make a lower shot, so you can cover less distance when necessary. Though even Chips can go a long way as they make the ball roll a lot. Judging power in Chips and the other 2 is crucial, as they are most commonly used near the Hole. So if you mess it, you might find yourself taking an extra Chip, or even a swing.

PUTTING:
Pro Series Golf
Judging the Power of a putt is trickier than with the swing. When you see the Target Line of the putt (illustrated above) you see where it ends, that is the distance a MAX Power would get you. With an Over Power it will go little further. Very much like swingin, except a LOT shorter distances. It is a little confusing as the closer you get, the more power you need to use in the putt, as the target line gets shorter. It is confusing but you'll get the hang of it.
Selecting the power is like in swings, illustrated below:
Pro Series Golf
Just remember the target lines lenght before taking a shot!

Pro Series Golf
Accuracy can be more or less crucail in putts, depending on the distance. Select the accuracy like in swingin. The accuracy can make a big difference between a Bogey and a Birdie!

TIPS & TRICKS:
-The wind can have a huge impact on your shot! Check the wind before swingin!
-Rough Grass might slow down the ball roll a little, but it's the 2nd best surface to land on!
-If you get lost of where the hole is, use the FlyBy in the pause menu. Flyby isn't available in N-Gage Arena. If you get lost, follow the patches of smooth grass.
-Career Mode is a great way to practice for Arena, and improves your Golfers attributes! It has an Auto Save feature, so you can leave anytime and come back later. You can also play other games in between!
-During a game, when it's your turn you can check your attributes in the pause menu. During an Arena game on your opponents turn, you can check theirs! Know what you're up againts!
-If you land the ball in a sand pit, hit it hard, as the distance is reduced when in sand. There is also and attribute called Sandplay...
-The elevation of the terrain affects the balls movement. It is a good idea to check the elevation before taking a shot.
-Over Power can be used to deliver the ball a lot farther than normal. Use it well!
-Setting the accuracy a little off can be used to add "Spin" to the ball, that will send it flying in a curve like fashion.

Pro Series Golf
With these tips and a little practice, you too can pull of a frequent Birdie!
Good luck! :)

anonymouse#1 here :P
you can quit the game anytime, when you back in you will continue from the point you left it (which means you can't restart a tournament or leave it if you are sucking too much which is good after all ;) )
