Mile High Pinball review

okay, back to the reviews from my rant. Yes yes, MHP was released a long time ago. Why won't I review the newer games? I will, after I have these older ones. Now lets a go!

Mile High Pinball is the first original generation N-Gage game to be ported to the new platform. It was great then and it's great after all the years.
The graphical improvement is eye goggling 2D. The boards and enemies have much detail in them. The sounds are okay and the music is pretty good too. There could have been a bit more variety, but then again, this is the pinball game with the most varied sounds I've heard.
The gameplay can be described as addictive, fun and frustrating hard.
Some of the boards are just plain unforgiving. And falling down 3 boards really makes you pull hair out of your head. But when you get past a difficult board, you get a feeling of success. This game is not easy, which will put the casual crowd off, but hardcore gamers who want a challenging pinball game will love it, unless they are "purists" about pinball.
The game plays pretty fast, with only slight pauses when changing boards. The enemies and bosses are also interesting, and you get powerups. In a pinball game. Woot!
As someone said, it's more like a vertical platformer rather than classic pinball. I think it describes the game well, and the game is great.
The controls are made like a real pinball machine, you need to use both hands to play the game, but you don't need to hold it in any akward way. The game plays only in portrait. Ofcourse you can re assign the controls to be used with the D-Pad and one hand, but now you cant have as much control.
The multiplayer part is icing on the cake. You can play 2 player head 2 head duels in score or altitude. It is quite intense when you play as you both struggle to surpass each other with a marging of few points/feet. This is the reason that can tilt "meaby" players into "FUCK YEAH!" and buy it.
Overall, it is a great looking game, with good sound, addictive yet frustrating game play and is great. I kinda wish the game was a little more forgiving though.
