Brain Challenge review

OK I'll make this one shorter. :) (EDIT: I tried! XD)

Brain Challenge

Brain Challenge is one of the other games to hit the N-Gage in early launch. It is supposed to be a fun way to keep your mental abilities sharp with about 10 minutes a day.

Well, the graphics are fine and dandy 2D. They are not state of the art but they look pleasing. They are colorful and clear. Ah, but we are not here to stare at the female virtual coach, now are we?

The gameplay is quick and easy, consisiting of 60 second minigames, 4 in each session in Daily Brain Test. And a 90 second minigame in the training room. The game is all about these minigames that supposedly help you beef up your Logic, Math, Perception (called Visual) and Memory.

The aim is to get as many correct awnsers in each minigame in the shortest time possible. In the Daily Brain Test the difficulty increases each time you do well. The games are easy, but with the time limit pressuring one can make silly mistakes.
Everytime before you play a minigame, you get a quick text box tutorial how it works. Then you are thrown into the game.

The sounds and online could have been done so much better. The sounds are 8-bit midi tunes and the online portion only consists of uploading your N-Gage Points.

Despite that, overall I like this game. It has a level of addictiveness that keeps you coming back for more. Scary thing is I think my memory really has gotten better with this!

Verdict:
A fun minigame collection to keep your brain fit(-er).

Score:
Graphics: 70%
Sound: 70%
Gameplay: 80%
