System Rush Evolution is one of the first N-Gage games that hit the platform. AS such, it has lots of online competition. (Will get back that later)
The game looks great. The 3D grapchics look great for a mobile game and theres no sign of lag when the action is going really fast on the screen. It has a flashy scifi look to it coupled with a techno soundtrack, and it works perfectly!
The controls are fluid, even in portrait mode. (you can even use a 1 thumb playstyle and WIN!)
Though it might first confuse new players that you don't need to steer when the track turns. The Co-Vec (Code Vehicle) is basically stuck on a lane in the track, and you steer to switch lanes. This might sound suspicious but its rather easy once you learn it. Thats just the Infiltrate mode!
The next mode is shutdown, where you go forward in a tunnel, shooting stuff to bring down the network. Moving is identical ro Infiltrate, except slower and you dodge bullets instead of obstacles. Everything thats coming at you (except bosses) you shoot down. (My fave mode btw. Its like a Shoot 'em up revised in 3D with a twist!)
The last mode is Evacuate. It is alittle more difficult than the other 2, as now you are gliding. You must get to the end of the level without crashing to the floor or destroying yourself by hitting too many objects.
Thats basically what the gameplay consists of. It as all fun and challenging (sometimes a tad hard too) and might scare the too casual players.
The best part of the game is the 2-player head-to-head online mode.
You race other players in the same modes as in the story mode, but there are some additional subnets (the zones where the levels take place) to race in online. Though the matchmaking is really random and the game starts as soon as there are 2 players in the same room, so finding your friend to play with might be a little hard. But there are bunch of random players online picking every challenge they see. (and they like to hang out in Ranked!)
Verdict:
One of the must purchase action games for N-Gage. For 7€ its a bargain.
