Snakes Subsonic Review

It's been a long time since the last update. So I guess I should say:
"Mr. Anderson. We have been waiting for you."
Now to the review.

Snakes Subsonic
Snakes Subsonic is a sequel to the Snakes game on the old N-Gage phones.
It promotes itself as a 3D puzzle game. Well I don't find it puzzling, but looking aside that it is a pretty good racing sort of game. Well not actual racing, but the game play consists of slithering through 3D areas where you collect crystals and powerups, defeat enemies and unlock routes. The trick is that items only appear after you have collected the first ones, so it is sort of a check-point-format-racing.
It's pretty easy, but getting those Gold trophies ain't no cake! Well for the first Zone it is but not later on. This is good balance, as a novice can beat the main game, though he might have to practice the later levels, while a power gamer will have to practice the levels to get the Golds.
The graphics are edgy, but meaby this was meant to be, as the game appears a little System Rush esque in the style, though not as good. Still theyre edgy, but you can recognize objects clearly. The sound is excellent. The music is techno driven beat and the sound FX are good. It all goes well with the game theme and levels.
Arena mode is similar to SRE, you all race in your own area to get the designated score first. Though these scores are called "Laps" as you usually end up going through the levels crystal paths like it was checkpoint racing. You cannot see your enemy and vice versa, but you can affect them with powerups that send enemies, walls, slow them down or insta kill them. Unlike in SRE you respawn if you die, so dieing doesn't necessarily lose you the game. Up to 4 players can play simultaniously, and it's all good fun, if you got people to play againts. Annoyingly, this game also uses a weird ranking system that doesn't allow lower ranked players play higher ranked ones, though this applies only to ranking games and freestyle is free for all. There are 4 levels to play in Arena mode that aren't present in the single player mode.

Overall this game is a good buy if you're looking for a game thats sort of like racing but isn't. It also has a 4 level trial, but they are not the easiest levels of the game.

Score: 80%

Last weekends Reset tournament results.

Last weekend, there was a Reset Generation tournament. Sadly I wasnt able to attend.
N-Gager veiler has made a forum post of the winners, with some replays too for us to enjoy!
Kudos!

It was a team tournament. The winning team was jaydrive2000 and theoddone! Gratz guys!
What games did they pick as their prize I wonder?

Other news include a poll in the official N-Gage blog of your faveropute Reset Generation Character. Go vote already!

Also, I signed up recently and suggest you do too, is the N-Gage feedback forum.
It requires you to make an account, but it's fast and you get to affect the development process of N-Gage, hopefully. I suggest to vote on some of the good ideas that have less votes, as the ones with 300+ votes are surely under consideration. BTW, you can change your votes at any time.

I must be off now.
